Formic Pro™ is a formic acid–based treatment designed to help control Varroa mites in honey bee colonies. Certified organic in New Zealand, this polysaccharide gel strip treatment can be used while honey supers are on the hive.
The gel strips are placed on top of the lower brood chamber and release vapor slowly over either a 14-day or 20-day treatment period, depending on application method. This controlled release works to reduce Varroa mite populations within the colony.
Each dose consists of two gel strips:
