About The Salty Bee

Welcome to The Salty Bee Maine.  I’m Celeste Danforth, and this is my home-based business in Harpswell.  I am a retired Nurse Practitioner, an avid gardener, an artist, and a backyard beekeeper. 

The Salty Bee Maine was established to provide essential hive components and beekeeping supplies convenient to Harpswell, Brunswick & Topsham areas.  To facilitate this, I have established flexible pickup times and delivery options. 

There is also a line of bee and coastal Maine-themed gifts on the website that will be frequently updated and expanded. Custom honey labels, cards, or designs can also be developed. 

For those beekeepers who want to avoid the mess of honey extraction, I am a licensed food processor for honey and have a certified home kitchen.  See details on the website.  I can pick up your frames for extraction, or you can deliver them to me.
